TRIP FILES
What is a TRIP File
All your trip data/stats/waypoints and tracks are saved in what we call a TRIP File.
The application comes with a default "Trip" file aptly named "default".
When you start-up BackCountryNavigator PRO for the first time, this is your initial trip, the DEFAULT trip.
Every time you create a waypoint or a track, that is saved int the currently active TRIP File, In this case, since there was no custom TRIP created, it will be saved on the default trip.
Note: a Trip File should be created *before* recording tracks and waypoints to place in it. DO NOT attempt to create it *after* you have recorded a track, because all trip files start out empty.
CREATING A New TRIP (File)
Click on the TRIP DATA Icon (in Landscape Mode) / Menu > Trip Data (in Portrait Mode).
Then click, CREATE A NEW (EMPTY) TRIP DATABASE
It will then prompt you to name your CUSTOM Trip. (Remember: you create trip files before you create waypoints/tracks, not the other way around)
LOADING EXISTING TRIP(S)
Click the Trip Data Icon (Landscape) / Menu > Trip Data (Portrait) and click on SWITCH TO ANOTHER TRIP DATABASE
If you've created several trips, it will show up in this prompt. Click that particular Trip you want to use and click CHOOSE THIS TRIP.
You will know what trip file you have currently open before creating waypoints/tracks by going to the TRIP DATA.
To Open the List of Tracks and Waypoint, click on the List option
**Current trip open is the Trip File named CUSTOM.
