BCNP android 4.1.2 import failed Error. Permission denied

Backcountry Navigator Pro

Running Version 7.1.8

Unable to import GPX tracks into phone. Permission denied error. App has been working great prior to last 2 updates. 

Any advice appreciated. Willing to work with developers to generate log files ect...  

Import works fine on phone with android 9.
