Tracking a trip on two different map sets simultaneously

Hi backpackers,

I'm planning a 5-7 day trip in the wilderness. I have already downloaded two different map sets of the area - one is CalTopo with slope shading, and the other is Thunderforest Outdoor. I notice now that the waypoints I've created automatically show on both sets of maps. Will my tracking lines also show on both maps?

For some of the time, I anticipate using the CalTopo slope shading map where those map features are more important, and at other times, will use the Thunderforest map which shows boot trails.
