compass grossly off

New Alcatel Idol 5S: compass reading is off by ~150 deg. This applies to BN and a "Compass" app. However, in "GPS Essentials", the compass reading is about right (!!!).

Of course I did the so called calibration, and I am an experienced BN user. Other phones have woked fine for me.
