Display tracks and waypoints from multiple databases
Often I preload a database with numerous waypoints and tracks. When I travel around I record my route and add new waypoints and marks. Currently both are written to a single database. When I get back home and export to gpx it takes a good amount of effort to disentangle the new stuff from the old. With a large database, for example in Death Valley, this is quite a chore. It would be great to be able to create multiple databases, select which ones are visible, and then have a separate active database to write the new stuff to. The active database would always be visible, and ideally would have different colors for tracks and waypoints than the visible but inactive databases.

Just discovered that this is a duplicated of

If this feature is added, the active and visible inactive trip databases would have to be set up so that any new track/waypoint data only gets written into the active one. It seems like the best way to keep inactive databases in the background is to place them in the "Add-on overlays" list: MAP LAYERS -> Add-on overlays. New menu options can be coded there for importing and exporting. The inactive trip databases would be included in the list with purchased add-ons like boundary maps, trail maps, etc.

It’s also possible to code the app so the user can select more than one trip database on the TRIP DATA -> ‘Click to Change Trip Database’ screen before returning to the map screen. But if this method is used, there should be a way of marking one of the selected trip databases as “active”, This could be done with a check mark option that only appears whenever more than one trip database is selected.

An example use case would be I have a trip database with hundreds of water locations. I would like to be able to disable/enable this list of waypoints while still keeping my tracks for my trip/run.
Another approach to this might be supporting some sort of sub-folder/group within trip databases. Then I could put all the water waypoints in a folder that I could enable/disable. I could also copy that folder between databases.
