Hi, just wondering if it's possible to use / display Irish Ordnance Survey grid references in place of lat long coordinates.

 

Don't know if this is of any use, but found this info on converting Lat Long coordinates to the British OS Grid, and details of the changes required for the Irish OS Grid here:

  BackCountry Navigator offers three coordinate formats based on the OS British National Grid Reference System. These are found in Settings -> Coordinate Options -> Coordinate Format:

  OSRef(Numeric)                   Example: 275379 680358
  OSRef(6 Figure)                   Example: NS753803
  OSRef(XX EEEEE NNNNN)   Example: NS 75379 80358

  These formats are mostly for use in the UK, but they also cover the eastern half of Ireland . The western half is out of range. The numeric coordinates are the number of meters east and west of the UK reference point. If you subtract the offset for the Ireland reference point, you'd have an approximation for the Irish OS coordinates in numeric format.
