Route Display Styles

There is a way to set the track thickness in: Settings -> Track Options -> Track width, but this setting will be used for all the tracks. You might try choosing colors that have better contrast against the map features, and in areas where routes overlap, you could offset the route segments slightly, so they aren’t placed one on top of another. A thinner track width would work better here.

Would it be possible to add a line type track option to the pro app? When I use Caltopo.com and import gpx files, I can modify the track line type, which lets you change the line to dashes, dots or lines with directional arrows. I find having directional arrows very helpful, please add this feature.

A second feature request I would like to make, would be to allow a 2 colored line (ie. line and fill feature). I would like something that would let me specify a track line with a white border and a then a color fill. I find my self having difficulty reading lines that overlay map roads that are very wide. A single color track can sometimes get lost in the overlay without enough contrast, especially in a quick glace when on the move. A white outline with a fill color can help a track standout from map background.

Right now, color is the only parameter that can be changed for individual tracks. If two more options (Line Style and Line Width) were added to the editing screen for a track in the Overflow menu (3 dots on upper right), it would be much easier to distinguish tracks that cover the same area. If these options are left blank for any track, the global options from the settings menu would be used as default.

James, Are you suggesting or describing a solution?

I am suggesting one possible solution. There are other solutions, also. For example, clicking the ‘Line Style’ button could open a pop-up listing the possibilities for border and color fill, dashed or solid lines, etc.

    Any progress on this?
