Maintain current map position when switching downloaded maps

I have both image and topo maps downloaded for the same area. When I zoom in on one map then switch to the other map, BackCountry Navigator maintains the zoom level but recenters the map the the center of the downloaded area. That makes it difficult to examine the same area from the perspective of two different maps by switching back and forth.

  Changed in 4.9.

  Note that it will still autocenter when opening a particular map package, but you should now be able to switch between them.
