Mark Waypoint at Current Location.

Hi,

I notice that if I don't center my location just before marking a waypoint, the application doesn't record my current location but instead records the center of the map. This makes recording a waypoint a bit cumbersome because I always have to center first. When I have a GPS signal, 95% of the time, I mean to record my current location, not some other point on the map, so it'd be nice if it could somehow default to current location unless I indicate otherwise. Sometimes I mean to mark some other point, but that is much less common when I have a signal.

  I second this request.

  From years of using my Garmin--which now lives mostly in my closet, thanks to BCN--I am used to hitting the "Mark" button to waypoint my current position. With BCN, I often end up accidentally marking wherever the map happens to be centered, rather than my current location. So I end up with a lot of misplaced waypoints. I'm gradually getting used to doing this as a two-step operation (center, then mark), but it would be nice to just mark.

  Perhaps you could make this a Settings option: default mark behavior=current location vs. map center.

  Either Mark GPS Waypoint or Mark Waypoint at + are now an option.

  Thanks Nathan. I appreciate your development efforts. The product is becoming more polished and useful all the time. Thanks also for the new setting that allows users to adjust map zoom level. This has greatly enhanced the useability for me. With zoom set to +1, I can now use BCN while driving backroads with Galaxy Nexus mounted on window using the 100K topo as backdrop. Excellent.

  I was looking for this feature, but I must be missing something from your 3/27 reply Nathan. Where are the 2 options you mention, "Mark GPS Waypoint" or "Mark Waypoint at +". I can't find a place to see what version I am on within the program, but my App Info says 4.5.4. Thanks
