Pausing tracks

Hi, I use the Pro version of your app as a cyclist, and it's frustrating when
I stop on a long route that I have to stop the track, and then start another
one. When I export the GPX file I then cannot import the whole track into
Runkeeper (which I use for a log of all my rides) and have to do it in
several segments.
Is there anyway to create one file, or plans to introduce a pause
functionality?
I can run the app as well as the RunKeeper app together but that's a drain on
the battery - I'd rather run just the one app.
Otherwise, very impressed with the app and was more than happy to pay for the
full version after I used the demo app! Keep up the great work!

Used the track pause feature the other day while we had lunch in a very pleasant country pub, I un-paused on leaving the pub but discovered about an hour later that the tracking had not resumed, although the GPS was updating correctly. What did I do wrong? (Dell Streak 5, Android 2.2.2)
