What is your phone? Has the GPS worked in the past? Are you inside?

Here is what I did on my Galaxy Tab. Download the map section or sections you want to useafter they are downloaded restart your phone. This is how I got the purple icon to show up.

Some phones can not get a GPS lock without a network connection.  The may be hacks available for you phone to change that feature.

Dear reader, I Backcountry Navigator Installed on Samsung Galaxy SII
If I see one place on the map then that's great, innovation in the ways of from 2 days agoare now processed.

Now I want to use the software to walk because the cards I see coming out now are very good.
How do I start the program if I just want to use GPS (like Google Maps use GPSwhile walking.

How do I get that working so I can see the "map" and possibly still traveled poundsheaters.

Should I also install another GPSI now use it on the SmartPhone sat or was present and who does well on.

Software on the Samsung Galaxy SII (2) is about Android 4.0.3

Pending or your readers would know a solution for me
