Since there are GMU boundary addons available for a few states, here are some ideas on how to use them.
Please refer to this topic to suggest other states or features.
You can find what we have available in "Purchasing Addons" in the menu.
In earlier versions you can find GMU addons as part of All in the inventory.
As of version 4.7.0, you can find it under Game Management Unit.
After purchase, the first thing you generally want to do is turn off the layers you DON'T want to see. Unlike BLM and other addons, each of the GMU addons generally add multiples layers. Choose the ones you are interested in to avoid clutter.
First go to the Layers Menu and choose the link that says "Showing Addons".
Then uncheck the ones you won't be using.
You will then see the layers as squiggly lines on your map.
The lines have jagged edges where small triangles point to the inside of a boundary.
The labels are also on the inside of a boundary. In the case of GMU, many of the labels are numbers. To see what rules apply, consult your hunting manual for that state. Some of them, like the AccessYes properties in Idaho, list names. Often these will look like graffiti at first in the picture below.
Zoom in and the labels will become more clear:
Another way to identify boundaries is to use the mark button at the left.
You can choose one of the listed items to see more attributes of the boundary, if they are available.
